In 2000 actor Madhavan became the first MOHAN Foundation ambassador to make a public service film endorsing organ donation in English, Hindi and Tamil.

“… (Madhavan) was there rooting for the cause once again when he recorded a special message on the occasion of the VIII All India Transplant and SAARC Games. In his message, while reiterating the fact that the games celebrate human endurance, spirit and the tenacity to spring back to life after undergoing complex surgery, he also underlined the need to root out misconceptions about organ donation. He says, “The people who will participate in the games have survived simply because of transplants and donors.” He survived simply because of transplants and donors.” He himself has donated his “eyes, kidneys, heart – everything….. to whoever wants it...”
