Mrs. Lalitha Raghuram Walks the Talk

MOHAN Foundation's Country Director Mrs. Lalitha Raghuram was championing the cause of organ donation in Hyderbad since 2002. In January 2004, when her 19-year-old son Swamy Narayan became brain dead, she and her husband Mr. K. Raghuram 'walked the talk' and donated their son's organs.

President Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam heard about this and invited Lalitha to meet him at Rashtrapati Bhavan In June 2004 and commended her on her selfless act.

In the words of Dr. Kalam, “ No mother should lose a child but unfortunately it has happened. I will say only one thing to you - continue doing the good work, go to rural areas also and spread your work.”
