India’s digital health ecosystem has crossed a major milestone, with over 100 crore health records linked to Ayushman Bharat Health Accounts (ABHA) through the Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission (ABDM). As per the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, there had been a doubling of the number of connections from 50 crore to over 100 crores in just 15 months since February 2025 owing to the fast adoption of digital health facilities all around the country.
ABHA provides a unique digital health ID, enabling people to securely access and share health records across hospitals, laboratories, clinics, and other healthcare facilities. The consent-based system gives individuals control over their health data while ensuring privacy and security.
