Foundation for Organ Retrieval & Transplant Education (FORTE) at Bangalore organized a walkathon in the month of February to spread the awareness about cadaver organ donation. The event as flagged off by the Chief Minister S.M. Krishna near Vidhana Soudha. The walk passed through Raj Bhavan Road, GPO circle, Chinnaswamy Stadium road, and Kasturba Road before it ended at the Kanteerava stadium. Ashwini Nachappa, Sunil Abraham, Roger Binny and many other well known personalities took part in the walk along with member of forte.

The efforts of FORTE has helped give life to 20 patients suffering from end stage disease. So far 12 families in Karnataka have donated the organs of their loved ones after death to patients whose very depended on it , according to the foundation.’
