In a significant gesture to promote organ donation, Hon'ble Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir Manoj Sinha has registered himself as an organ donor. “I have approached SOTTO Jammu and Kashmir to include me in the list of organ donors. Organ donation should be adopted as a guiding principle in life.”, said Lieutenant-Governor Sinha. He described organ donation as more than an act of generosity - calling it a profound gift that not only saves recipients but also impacts their families and loved ones.
Lieutenant Governor Sinha also thanked voluntary organ donors and urged others to follow their example, calling donation a gift of life and a way to give back to society.
Lieutenant Governor Sinha's gesture is expected to boost ongoing efforts in Jammu and Kashmir to raise awareness and reduce stigma around organ and tissue donation. Such engagement is likely to influence and inspire others to consider this life-saving cause.
