Mrs. Bhavna Jagwani, Convener, MOHAN Foundation – Jaipur Citizen Forum (MFJCF) was honoured with the “RAJMATA GAYATRI DEVI WOMEN’S EXCELLENCE AWARD.” The award was given in the beautiful traditional ambience of City Palace by Maharani Padmavati Devi on the occasion of the birth anniversary of Late Brig. H.H. Maharaja Sawai Bhawani Singh on 23rd October 2015.

Born and brought up in Nagpur, Bhavna, a jewellery designer by profession has a unique flair for creativity. During her pregnancy, she lost her vision due to a drug reaction. Miraculously the vision came back. Believing there was a hidden purpose behind everything Bhavna founded the Eye Bank Society of Rajasthan (EBSR). More than 4000 people have got vision as a result of the efforts of EBSR. In 2014, Bhavna took the initiative to start the challenging Deceased Organ Donation and Transplant Programme in Rajasthan and set up an NGO named MFJCF. Bhavna said, “The road ahead is very long and tough as the demand for the organs is huge and retrieval is limited. But by the grace of God and support from the State Government, MOHAN Foundation, family, friends and the incredible and amazing MFJCF team, a lot more can be achieved.”
