To bring together the Transplant patients of various organs on one common platform Chennai will host the above games on 13th and 14th of December 2003.For a change, the show is led by the two NGOs (MOHAN and TANKER) rather than hospitals. This is a significant step forward and perhaps in future it will be these kinds of organizations that will play a dominant role in shaping organ donation movement and help in networking with the patients and families. The games are expected to attract over 500 patients and their family members and will surely give the programme some freshness that is desperately needed. Unfortunately, the last two years have only witnessed “kidney scandals” from all regions of the country. We hope the games will work as a healing factor and give the organ donation programme some impetus to move forward and show to the public the more humane side of the programme. MOHAN Foundation seeks help of all the transplant clinicians to help with the games, please pass the information about the games to your patients and ask them to get in touch with foundation. The whole event will be subsidized as far as costs are concerned.
