Mani Kandan was born on March 23 1973. He graduated from Calicut Regional Engineering College. He was very sensible, compassionate and quiet person who always wanted to help others.

Misfortune struck his family when he started getting headaches. Someone suggested getting a CT scan. However it was late in the evening and the next day happened to be a holiday. On the morning of 18th at 4pm the pain was so severe that  he had to be admitted to a nearby hospital. The family was devastated when by noon that day he was declared brain dead. It was difficult to come to focus with the grave tragedy, however even in this moment of grief the family decided to donate his organs to the needy.

Mani always believed in harmony and well being of society and by donating his organs the family fulfilled the commitment to the society. While leaving this mortal world he left “Gift of Life” for a number of people.
