Born in a staunch orthodox Hindu family a vision of universal brotherhood, in the year 1949, my husband completed schooling from Tanjore District and did his M.Sc. Geoology, from Annamalai University with distinction securing gold medal. He was employed in Geological Survey of India as senior Geologist and travelled widely all over the country for locating various natural resources. He was widely respected in the department for his meritorious service

A man of exceptional character very active, most lovable friendly affectionate, most helpful to the needy. We were married on Feb 10th 1977. Our son is doing his Master in Computer Science and our daughter doing B.Sc. Maths 2nd year. Fate snatched him away from all of us, suddenly on 5/3/2001 leaving us in total despair. He was the only bread –winner of the family. In this tragic circumstance, in an act of extreme humaneness, I took the most darling and emotionally painful decision donating all organs of my husband so that at least our tragedy would bring joy to a few suffering fellow humans who were critically ill with “Organ Failure” my husband is my hero, he still lives within me and also within others ... God bless his soul.

Mrs Shobana, Chennai
