The trade in organs is spreading in South East Asia and the new entrant is Thailand. Economic constraints have prompted  many Thais to offer their kidneys for sale. Also, visitors who find themselves desperate for cash think that the easiest way out are to try and sell their kidneys and they do so openly.  Organ donation to relatives is permitted under Thai Law but buying and selling  organs is banned. But, with people willing to sell and a market that is ever ready to buy, an illegal traffic in organs has begun.
