ITN Vol 1; Issue 3, 1999 Patient Support Group Launched in Bombay TRIOMPH (Transplant Recipient's Indian Organisation Meant to Provide Hope) is the new patient support group started in 2017 for transplant recipients in Mumbai. ITN traced its beginnings to 1999. “... After a successful launch of patient support group for Kidney Transplant and failure patients at Chennai a similar support group was launched by MOHAN Foundation at Bombay on 18th April, 1999 with the help of Mrs. Malathi Venkatesan and Mr. Murali Menon, core committee members of MOHAN Foundation. A Marathi Booklet for patients “Kidney Transplantation – Before and After” and a poster on organ donation entitled “Life... Pass it on” in English was also released during the function attended by over 80 patients and their relatives. Dr. A. Kirpalani, Consultant Nephrologist, Bombay Hospital chaired the session and spoke of the need for such a group in Mumbai ...”
