One Week Transplant Coordinators’ Training Programme, New Dehli 23rd-27th April 2012

MOHAN Foundation and Army Hospital (Research and Referral) conducted a one-week Transplant Coordinators' training programme in collaboration with Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), Ministry of Health and Family welfare, Government of India. This was the first one-week programme organized by the Foundation in North India. It acted as a sensitization programme for all the professionals working in the field and also gave them an opportunity to meet their counterparts from different hospitals. The programme was inaugurated by Maj.Gen.P.P. Varma, SM, VSM, Deputy Commandment of Army Hospital R&R.

32 participants attended the training programme from cities like Calcutta, Pune, Indore, Mahali and Dehli, representing various hospitals. The course details were so well organized that both the medical and non-medical professionals like social workers benefited equality. The one-week programme concluded with a session on Government Initiatives and National Transplant Programme by the Chief Medical Officer- Dr Anil Kumar from the DGHS and distribution of certificates to all the participants.
