Dr. Sunil Shroff, Managing Trustee, MOHAN Foundation was awarded the “Social Entrepreneur of the Year 2010” Award by TiE (The Indus Entrepreneurs) for his contribution to the cause of entrepreneurism by starting MOHAN Foundation and creating a positive impact on society. TiE is a not-for-profit organization and a platform for entrepreneurs to come together and share ideas with one another and with other stakeholder s such as investors , governments, media and financial markets. To celebrate the never-say-die spirit of entrepreneurs, it has constituted “TiE Chennai Entrepreneur Awards” which recognizes the efforts and success of entrepreneurs from Tamil Nadu. Dr. Sunil Shroff received the award from the Chairman of Sanmar Group, Mr. N. Sankar, Chief Guest at TiECON Chennai  2010 on 24 November 2010.
