Madhya Pradesh’s first organ donation website www.organdonationindore.org was launched in February 2014 in Indore by state urban development minister, Mr. Kailash Vijayvargiya. This is the website of the Indore Society for Organ Donation. Mr. Sanjay Dubey, IAS, Commissioner Indore Division took the initiative to start this society and is its president. The society aims to promote deceased organ donation as well as tissue and body donation. It also proposes to facilitate the security of donor families through a competent medical insurance plan. The website will have the current status of organ donors, recipients, forms and priority list and aims to bridge the gap between donors and recipients. Mr. Dubey said, “No one should die due to unavailability of an organ for transplantation. The website will be a great help. For body donation, family members need not bother about a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from police in case of natural death.”
